Standing in snaking queues for hours on end, some social grant recipients in desperate need of their money soiled themselves, too afraid to lose their spots.
Eyewitness News visited several South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) offices in Gauteng and the Western Cape on Friday, where hundreds are still queueing in hopes of getting their grants.
Hundreds of Sassa recipients have gone back to post office branches across Gauteng to try their luck after a payment system glitch left them penniless. While goverment claims the problem was sorted out, many have been left without their money yet again.
