The campaign has set a target of $2.5 million, to be matched by the Brownlee Family Foundation, to refurbish Main Street and transform the CN grounds to a multi-purpose park with a market area, festival stage and historic garden. The beer can was designed by Megan Edwards, Great Western Brewing’s graphic designer. Packs of Biggar Beer will be available for purchase at Biggar retail outlets as well as at Saskatoon Co-op liquor stores. From every eight-pack purchased, $2.50 will go toward the revitalization campaign. GW’s beer is brewed with barley malted in Biggar, and GW Light is Biggar’s most popular Great Western beer.

When Prairie Harm Reduction (PHR) was down, the community of Saskatoon stood up.
Just over three weeks following the news of the harm reduction organization’s rejection of provincial funding, more than 350 donations have come in from the community.
That’s according to a very grateful executive director, Jason Mercredi.
“It’s been kind of a crazy, whirlwind month. We had one fundraiser planned for April, Darkside Donuts. Then it just snowballed,” he said. “People have been donating in droves to the agency. It’s just been nuts.”

The division was notified Sunday night of the case and families from the school were being informed with contact tracing underway.
Public health has cleared students to continue attending the school, unless families have been directed otherwise.
On Feb. 17, HSD was informed of a COVID-19 diagnosis in an individual at Winston High School in Watrous as well. The school has remained open to staff and students.
Elsewhere in the community of Watrous, a Saskatoon Co-op employee also tested positive for COVID-19.
