Mehbooba took to Twitter twitter informing that duo including his Uncle have been detained.
She stated that there is no rule of law anywhere in Jammu and Kashmir, adding that ‘it is out and out Gunda Raj’.
“Total lawlessness as PDPs Sartaj Madni & Mansoor Hussain have been arbitrarily detained today on the eve of DDC election results. Every senior police officer here is clueless as it is ‘upar say order’. No rule of law in J&K anymore. It is out & out Gunda Raj,” she tweeted.
Meanwhile, PDP in a statement has condemned the arrest of its two senior leaders-Mohammad Sartaj Madani and Peerzada Mansoor Hussain Sohrawardhy, terming the detention of duo as an extreme case of political vengeance and vendetta.

Srinagar, Dec 21: A day before the counting of votes in the District Development Council (DDC) polls in Jammu and Kashmir, authorities on Monday took into preventive custody at least 20 political leaders, including three senior PDP functionaries.
PDP president and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti described the detention of her party leaders as out and out Gunda Raj and accused the BJP of planning to manipulate the results.

Officials said the authorities took 20 leaders, including Sartaj Madni, Mansoor Hussain and Naeem Akhtar of the PDP, into preventive custody during the day.
JAMMU: The fate of 2,178 candidates, including 450 women, who contested for the 280 District Development Council (DDC) seats in Jammu and Kashmir will be decided on Tuesday.
J&K state election commissioner K K Sharma told reporters on Monday that counting will begin at 9am and the results will be available online “in a dynamic manner”.
Sharma further informed that the overall average voting percentage in all the eight phases of the maiden DDC polls was 51.42% and over 3,000,000 votes will be counted.
The elections to this third tier of the Panchayati Raj system were held for the first time in J&K and were the first mass polls after the abrogation of provisions of Article 370 in August 2019.
