Oman has awarded a major contract worth RO151 million ($392 million) to Al Sarooj Construction Company for the design and implementation of Diba-Lima-Khasab road as well as work related to the road link to Musandam Governorate’s Lima district.
(Futures Trading) In a breakthrough announcement, Synergy BioFuels announced the commissioning of the first Biodiesel Plant in Oman in Samail Industrial Estate. The plant successfully produced its first batch of 30 Tons of Biodiesel from Used Cooking Oil (UCO) that complies with EN14214 international standards.
“This is a significant milestone in our journey to support Oman’s green economy and Oman’s Vision 2040. Being able to establish a state-of-the-art Biofuels plant and produce the first batch of Biodiesel in Oman is an incredible achievement and we would like to thank Be’ah for its support in our journey” indicated Anthony Helou, CEO of Synergy.
BP spent $4.5mn on social investment programmes

Muscat: BP has launched its first socioeconomic review in Oman, highlighting its commitment to the Sultanate as well as its aim to be a leader in the transparency of reporting.
