KLKN-TV The second annual Saro Cider Classic will take place on January 23. January 16, 2021 10:04 pm LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Saro Cider is hosting its annual cider competition on Saturday, January 23. The competition will feature several cider makers facing off to test their recipe skills for the public. Ten cider makers were randomly selected from submissions. Last year, the competition was modeled after festivals and tastings. Guests could meet the cider makers and visit different booths. This year will look different for the cider makers. “We didn’t feel like that was going to be possible this year,” president of operations Eric Leyden said. “Everybody starts with the same juice and then they get to be creative on top of that. They can do anything they want, but they have to start with the same juice.”
