A fine of Rs 10000 has been pronounced in four crimes, totalling Rs 40,000.
Acting on a warrant issued by the court, Saritha was arrested from her residence in Thiruvananthapuram by the investigating officer last week and remanded to judicial custody after being brought to Kozhikode.
The warrant was issued against her as she failed to appear in the court.
According to a complaint filed by Kozhikode native Abdul Majeed with the police in 2012, the two accused Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan had taken Rs 42.70 lakhs from him for providing franchise in their company besides installing solar panels in his office and house.

Kozhikode : April 27 (IANS) A court here on Tuesday sentenced solar scam accused Saritha Nair to six years rigorous imprisonment besides slapping a fine of Rs 40,000 on her in a cheating case in which she took money from a person but failed to deliver solar panels to him.
Saritha had taken an amount to the tune of Rs 42.75 lakh in 2012 from one Abdul Majeed, promising to supply solar panels to him, but she failed to keep her promise.
Incidentally, Saritha was ducking the Kozhikode Chief Judicial Magistrate s Court, and despite a few warrants issued against her, she failed to appear before the court.
