The teaching and non-teaching staff across Punjab have completed preparations to stage a sit-in outside Parliament House on February 10 (Wednesday), a spokesperson shared on Saturday. According to details, all educational offices and institutions would be shut down from Wednesday, they threatened.
It was learnt that teachers, clerks, and Grade-IV employees have started reaching Rawalpindi and to avert possible arrests, many of them have gone into hiding. It was stated that they will stay in schools and government offices until protest day.

RAWALPINDI:
All employee representative organisations of government institutions and departments in Punjab have decided to march towards Islamabad on February 10 and stage a sit-in if they are not provided increments in their salaries, a spokesperson shared on Sunday.
They have issued a schedule wherein strikes and complete lockdown of offices are announced from January 19 (tomorrow). The representatives of different employee organisations, including Muhammad Irshad, Zafar Ali Khan and Sardar Hanif, said that they would observe strikes at government offices across the province for increment in salaries and allowances.
