KUCHING, April 11 The Sarawak government will consider the suggested scrapping of the 14-day compulsory quarantine for entry into the state if the Covid-19 situation in Malaysia improves, says Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
Uggah who is also the State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) chairman, said the number of Covid-19 positive cases was increasing in Sarawak, hence if quarantine were to be terminated, it could worsen the situation.

LABUAN: The first batch of 2,340 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is scheduled to arrive in Labuan today (Friday).
Labuan Acting Police Chief DSP Mohd Ibrahim Mohd Ghani said the vaccine would be transported by road from Kota Kinabalu and ferried to the duty-free island via the Menumbok ferry terminal at 8am.
“We expect the vaccine to arrive at the Labuan Ferry Terminal around 9.30am, and it will be escorted by traffic policemen to the vaccine storage centre at the Membedai Health Clinic,” he said, Thursday.

The Labuan Health Department has established at least three vaccination centres for Labuan s immunisation programme, which is scheduled to kick off tomorrow (Saturday) at 8am.
