and they re so grateful for it. reporter: the search for sierra lamar is almost nearing one month. wednesday afternoon, volunteers went door-to-door and talked to neighbors, hoping their conversations would spark something, even just a memory. the family can t do it. they see 500 people come out looking, it brings their spirit up. people really do care. people are trying and looking. it keeps their hope alive. reporter: santa clara county deputies are using sonar machines to research reservoirs. so far, we ve learned the sonar has not picked up clues to sierra s whereabouts. nothing discovered in the searches. some of the groups came back a little discouraged because they weren t finding what they wanted to find. your job is to eliminate places to look. reporter: and the encouragement is contagious. you have to keep believing. if you believe and stay positive, as someone who is here every day, someone else who comes in, they ll stay positive for you. reporter: t
