MALTA A Malta couple faces misdemeanor cruelty to animal charges after the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of dogs living in poor conditions at a Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park residence.
The investigation into the complaint resulted in the Sheriff’s Office obtaining a seizure order for the animals and two pit bulls were secured by the Malta Animal Control Officer. Those arrested were Malta residents ages 41 and 42, who are accused of failing to provide sustenance to the animals and of keeping them in unsafe and unsanitary living conditions. They were given court appearance tickets.

Christina M. Flores, 41, and Shawn P. Flores, 42, both of Malta, were each charged with cruelty towards animals, a misdemeanor.
The investigation began Tuesday after the sheriff’s office received a complaint of dogs living in poor conditions at a residence in Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park, officials said.
The investigation then led to deputies getting a seizure order for the animals. Two pit bulls were secured by the Malta Animal Control Officer and the two people were charged.
The animals were receiving care Wednesday at the Saratoga County Animal Shelter.
