Find a vaccine here you through this CDC database: Below is a list of vaccination clinics by county (alphabetized) and date. All people 12+ are eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine in New York State. The Pfizer vaccine is the only one approved for 12-15 year-olds. Many pharmacies, including Kinney s and Walgreens, are taking appointments for young teens accompanied by a parent. Note that this information is always changing; come back for updates. The Saranac Lake Free Library (Enterprise photo — Kevin Shea) SARANAC LAKE Franklin County Public Health will hold a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Saranac Lake Free Library on Thursday for all who are 18 or older and live, work or study in New York state. One hundred Moderna vaccine will be available. The clinic is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Walk-ins will be welcomed. “We will get walk-ins registered and vaccinated,” Franklin County Director of Public Health Katie Strack said in a press release. “We want to get vaccines into as many folks as we can.” Preregistration, however, will speed up the process. An ongoing fundraiser, “A Taste of Saranac Lake,” a bound collection of recipes from our members, is available at the Village Mercantile. What a great gift to yourself or to send out to a loved one who might be missing their hometown. We look forward to hosting events in the near future to encourage the strengthening of our community though activities that bring us together. WCC welcomes anyone 18 years old and over to join them on the third Monday of each month, September through June. It’s a great way to make friends while making a difference! Jan 27, 2021 Mae Elizabeth Lashway, age 96, formerly of Saranac Lake and currently of the Champlain Valley Senior Living Community in Willsboro, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh due to complications of COVID-19. Born in Saranac Lake on April 6, 1924, she was the daughter of George and Inez (Laggett) Baker. Mae married Arthur F. Lashway Jr. on Monday, Jan. 7, 1946, in Saranac Lake. He predeceased her on June 21, 1983. Mae had been a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake and had been employed as a secretary for the New York State Department of Health for many years. Prior to that she was employed with Adirondack Bank. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Saranac Lake Free Library for 30 years and continued to be an avid reader till the end.
