Can we sustain idealism such as we are hearing from France Gelinas and Charlie Angus as they emphasize Francophone and Indigenous cultural needs, or are we ready for a much-needed dose of realism?
D.J. Miller, from a law firm representing the university, points out these disturbing facts: Of the 1,902 courses offered at the university, 162 have fewer than five students and 180 have six to 10 students. Most students, 83 per cent, are enrolled in the top 50 programs. These are also the programs attracting much-needed money from foreign students.
