EMERGENCY repairs will cause disruption to more than a thousand properties in West Fife next week. Scottish Water are set to fix a burst water main that supplies around 1,500 homes in Charlestown and Crossford. The essential repair will happen overnight on Tuesday, April 27 through to Wednesday, April 28. The water supply will not be shut off until 11pm and it is hoped that the repair will be completed and the supply restored by 6am. Sarah Prescott, customer manager, said: We would suggest that you consider making provisions by filling containers you may have before the water is isolated. Discoloured water is quite common after there has been a change to the normal operations of the network and this is due to the disturbance of fine sediments. We appreciate that this doesn t always look nice and can be concerning for customers.
