Masconomet High School’s Environmental Club has taken on a new initiative to offset the usage of paper in the school.
The club has partnered with Tree-Plenish, an organization that supplies schools a certain number of trees based on the amount of paper consumed in a typical school year. This is the first time they are working with Tree-Plenish on this kind of project.
“I think just as a club we want to give back,” said junior and club officer Caroline Belanger. “We’re using all this paper in our school and all these resources, so I think it’s super important to just give that back so we can protect the environment and be sustainable.”
