A little something to read and learn to give you a little break during this time of boredom during isolation due to the Coronavirus Crisis. A different Medfield Historical Minute will appear each day during the Crisis. Wales Plimpton lived on the Plimpton estate on the corner of Main and Causeway Streets and had charge of town burials for a long time. He was commissioned as captain in 1819 and served on the Board of Selectmen. He married in 1806 Thankful Bullard, who died in 1807, he remarried in 1809 Sarah Bullard who died in 1828. He married for a third time, Lucy Morse, who died in 1849. They had a total of 13 children, five of whom went to Oregon over the Oregon Trail around the time of the California goldrush.
