Virtual I in Majority Rally to target mental health among High Desert youth Victorville Daily Press As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Institute for Public Strategies will host the “I in Majority Rally” on Friday, wherein youth from across the High Desert and San Bernardino County will discuss mental health strategies. The rally s hosts include Miranda Gabaldon and Tyler Johnson, youth members of the High Desert Community Coalition, as well as Hannah Esparza, a youth member of the Adelanto Coalition. The rally is scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday and will be broadcast on Facebook and YouTube. Speakers will share how they cope with stress, who they follow as positive role models and encourage others to join them in practicing healthy-living habits, according to IPS Program Manager Sarah Boyer.

Between March 1 and July 31, 12,000 more Americans between 25 and 44 years old died than would ordinarily be expected. About 40% of those deaths were directly due to COVID-19.

CHAMPAIGN — Bryant John Boyer-Killion, 21, of Champaign passed away at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2020, with his loving family and co-workers by his side. He was born April 28, 1999, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, the son of Anna Boyer-Killion and John Killion, who both survive. Bryant is survived by two sisters, Rylee Boyer-Killion, whom he referred to as his baby girl, and Kattie Killion of St. Louis; his brother, Josh Killion of Champaign; his niece, Luna Killion; his aunt, Sarah Boyer of Champaign; grandparents Ronald and Sandra Boyer of Watseka and Esther Boyer of Champaign; and his confirmation sponsor, Mark Ahern of Naperville.
