Seniors at the College of Wooster and Ashland University breathed a collective sigh of relief as commencement activities for the Class of 2021 were held Saturday at both schools.
More than 380 graduates participated in the in-person exercises, with families and guests taking part virtually at the College of Wooster’s 151st commencement at John Papp Stadium.
A few members of the 2021 class shared their thoughts about graduating after a year of turmoil and the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kathryn Dunkelberger of Seattle, a music therapy major, said trying to figure out the state of music in an online world or in a socially distanced, masked format has been her biggest challenge.

More than half of advertisers using paid branded content and influencers say doing so is more critical than it was a year ago, according to a branded content and influencer marketing report by market research firm Advertiser Perceptions. Throughout the second half of 2020, the report found that 32% of respondents increased spending on branded content and 25% spent more to back influencers. They are now putting 20% of their digital budgets into these complementary practices, which is more than they put into any other digital channel - paid search (14%), display (13%), paid social (12%), and digital video (12%). Advertiser Perceptions interviewed 205 advertisers in the US for its report in November, of which 46% are brand marketers and 54% are from agencies.

The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity is once again leading the way in improving mental health in the construction industry and has been selected to deliver specialist mental health and wellbeing training to construction students and tutors at five London colleges.
The pilot scheme starts in the Spring and is expected to be completed by October. The scheme will see 1,000 students at Windsor Forest, West Thames, West London, Brooklands, and Harrow and Uxbridge Colleges complete a half day MHFA England Mental Health Awareness Course.
