Deaths in Darfur in a new wave of attacks by herders, RSF, and gunmen

Armed herders opened fire on a North Darfur government delegation in the countryside north-east of El Fasher. North Darfuris also protested against frequent armed robberies and attacks. Um Dafug in South Darfur witnessed tension after three people were killed by the infamous Rapid Support Forces (RSF) whilst East Darfur also witnessed the killing of a market guard.

Several attacks and robberies in North and Central Darfur

Two were killed and 12 were wounded in attacks in Central Darfur this week whilst three displaced people were kidnapped and others were robbed in North Darfur. Especially farmers and displaced people were targeted.

Armed men stole an administrative official’s vehicle at gun point in Saraf Omra in North Darfur yesterday. Witnesses told Radio Dabanga, three motorcycle-bandits blocked the Land Cruiser, then proceeded to steal the owner’s keys and “beat him to the point of unconsciousness”.
