Parents in Upton are becoming increasingly concerned about a dangerous parking situation that has developed during school run hours. Residents have been complaining about the excessively busy and congested pavements and roads during school drop off and collection times due to the lack of parking spaces. They say they are forced to park on pavements due to the limited parking spaces available which forces pedestrians to walk in the middle of the roads. Parents say an urgent solution is needed. Amy Sara Swift, mum of a four-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son who both attend St Joseph’s Primary School, says parents had previously parked in the empty car parks of the local pub and village hall but now barriers have been installed.
