There’s big smiles and lots to look at as Alden’s Happy Days Art Show is underway this week.
The art show located at Alden Depot Park features twenty stalls from local artists, including jewelry, paintings and blown glass projects.
One of the vendors says she began painting at the start of the pandemic as a way to work through stress and relax, and has since been selling her art as magnets and postcards.
And upon setting up her booth, organizers and patrons actually told her to raise her prices on the items.
“It makes me feel happy because they want to buy my products, my painting products, and that makes me feel good inside, makes me feel really happy, it brings people attention, grabs your attention about-look at my art,” said Sara Sturtevant, an artist from Elk Rapids.
