MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers today announced their Minor League player development and training staffs for the 2021 season. Affiliate invitations were extended to the Nashville Sounds (Triple-A), Biloxi Shuckers (Double-A), Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (High-A) and Carolina Mudcats (Low-A) in December, a process still pending completion.
New to the organization are former players
Quinton McCracken. Spivey, who played second base for Milwaukee from 2004-05 and was an All-Star in 2002 with Arizona, joins the Brewers as coordinator – baseball diversity initiatives. McCracken, a veteran of 12 Major League seasons, comes to the organization as special assistant – baseball operations/player development after spending 2019-20 as the first base and outfield coach with the Durham Bulls, the Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Ba

MILWAUKEE Sara Goodrum has been promoted to minor league hitting coordinator by the Milwaukee Brewers, apparently making her the first woman to have that role in any Major League Baseball organization.
Goodrum s official title with the Brewers is coordinator for hitting development initiatives, but she essentially will be filling the role of a minor league hitting coordinator. Brewers vice president of minor league operations Tom Flanagan said Thursday that to our knowledge, she would be the first woman to hold that position in an MLB organization. Especially with the players who are coming up now, they don t care if you re a man or a woman, Goodrum said Thursday. If you can provide them with information and guidance that s going to help them accomplish their dream of making it to the big leagues, they don t care.

Her official title is coordinator of hitting development initiatives. She previously served as the organization s coordinator of integrative sports performance. We ve seen it work for almost four years with Sara in our organization working very closely with our players and our coaches, Brewers president of baseball operations David Stearns told MLB.com. I think we ve seen that because of her talent and her skill set, she is trusted and respected.
Goodrum was an outfielder with the Oregon softball team from 2012-15.
