TVEUROPE Duck Soup Joins Channel 4’s Indie Growth Fund ADVERTISEMENT Duck Soup Films, a Leeds-based production company dedicated to championing the voices of underrepresented talent, will join Channel 4’s Indie Growth Fund. Duck Soup was founded by Bekki Wray-Rogers, Libby Durdy and Jessica Holyland with an ambition to make fresh, authentic and entertaining TV dramas and feature films. Talent associated with projects currently on Duck Soup’s slate includes Theresa Ikoko, Jessica Knappett, Jack Thorne, Marc Munden, Lisa Holdsworth, Grace Ofori-Attah, Daf James, Doc Brown, Sara Dunlop, Will Sharpe and Veronica Gleeson. Caroline Murphy, head of Channel 4’s Indie Growth Fund, said: “Duck Soup is at a really exciting moment in its development with a growing number of advanced projects on its slate and I’m thrilled the company is joining the Indie Growth Fund.”

Good Oil adds four new directors to its roster

February 12 2021, 9:47 am | BY Ricki Green | No Comments Good Oil has announced the arrival of four new directors including the recently repatriated Renee Mao, directing duo Novemba, heavyweight creative turned director Tim Green, and UK based powerhouse Sara Dunlop.   Mao, who has recently returned to Australia after a stint in the US, creates work rooted in narrative-driven storytelling that tackles emotional, intimate subjects. She attended NYU’s Tisch School of the arts, where she honed her distinctive visual style. Mao is proud to have been involved in films that promote important social messaging, including anthemic spots for March of Dimes, The Woman’s Hospital of Texas and Huffington Post.
