The 2022 election is just a few weeks away, and after what happened in 2020, we went to the candidates to ask if they would accept the results of the 2022 election.
In a Washington Post survey, seven GOP nominees committed to accepting the outcomes in their contests, 12 refused to commit or declined to respond. Among Democratics, 17 said they would accept the outcome and two did not respond.
Six Republican nominees for governor and the Senate in key midterm states, all backed by Donald Trump, would not commit to accepting the November outcome. Five others did not answer the question.
