Only two weeks after gathering in Seton Park in support of Israel and U.S. Rep. Ritchie Torres, even more SAR students and greater Riverdale community members joined tens of thousands of people on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., Tuesday to stand against antisemitism and for freedom of hostages held in Gaza by Hamas terrorists.
While protesters staged outside of U.S. Rep. Ritchie Torres’ Fordham office Tuesday afternoon accusing him of supporting “Israel’s genocide,” a much larger group of rallygoers, made up of the SAR community and local electeds gathered at Seton Park to say they disagreed.

That is what an asylum seeker asked Adam Burian of New Rochelle, one of five incoming seniors at Salanter Akiba Riverdale High School who took time out of their summer break to volunteer at a temporary shelter for those who are seeking asylum in Phoenix to assimilate to their new country.
