The only total solar eclipse of 2020 will darken skies over parts of Chile and Argentina in South America on Monday, Dec. 14, and you can watch it live here, courtesy of NASA TV and a series of other live webcasts.  NASA s solar eclipse webcast will begin at 9:40 a.m. EST (1440 GMT) and run through 12:31 p.m. EST (1731 GMT). NASA will broadcast a Spanish-language webcast of the eclipse on its Public TV Channel from 10:30 a.m. EST (1530 GMT).

It s often billed as the best of the year. This year, the new moon occurs at the same time, meaning the skies will be especially dark and ripe for meteor hunting.
