Colombo (News 1st); The Court of Appeal on Wednesday (27) issued notice on Education Minister Professor G. L. Peiris and several others to appear in the court on the 10th of March.
They were noticed in order to submit facts with respect to the petition filed with the Court of Appeal seeking an order to prevent the decision taken by authorities on university admission based on the District Quota system and the classification as new and old syllabus.
The petition was filed by Sanumi Tharindya, a student from Ambalangoda and it was called up in the presence of Justices Sobitha Rajakaruna and Dhammika Ganepola.
