Skyway 3 cuts travel time from Buendia to Balintawak to just 20 minutes – Villar

Villar announced on Friday that the main trunk line of Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 from Buendia, Makati City up to North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Balintawak, Quezon City is now open, cutting travel time between the two points to 20 minutes. President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, assisted by Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar and San Miguel Corporation Chief Operating Officer Ramon Ang, leads the unveiling of the marker of the Metro Manila Skyway 3 (MMSS-3) Project during the inauguration ceremony at the Del Monte Toll Plaza in Quezon City on January 14, 2021.

Cleanfuel opens fifth station in Pampanga

Customs allays fears over port congestion amid truck ban

(MANILA BULLETIN FILE PHOTO) “The Bureau of Customs is optimistic amid the threat of port congestion in the resumption of the truck ban as the agency has been keeping the yard utilization rate within the desired level in alignment with the global standard rate which does not exceed 70 percent,” the bureau stated Tuesday.   It reported that during the period of December 1 to 13, the average yard utilization of Manila International Container Port (MICP) is at a “manageable level of 75 percent.”   After nine months, a total truck ban on six-wheelers and up from EDSA Magallanes in Pasay to North Avenue in Quezon City with window hours set on other major thoroughfares is enforced.

DPWH resumes repair along Ortigas-Granada Road in QC

(MANILA BULLETIN) In an advisory, the department said the portion of Ortigas-Granada Road from N. Domingo to Colonel Bonny Serrano Avenue past the Ortigas-Granada Bridge, fronting Sampaguita Pictures going to RCBC, will be temporarily closed to give way for the road works. The road’s first and second lane from the sidewalk will be covered by the reblocking activities that will start on Friday at 11 p.m. The department said it will conduct road preventive maintenance works with the given clearance by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority. “Motorists that could face delays with a 207-square meter road portion temporarily closed for repair are advised to plan their travel and take possible alternate routes,” the department noted.
