Cinco de Mayo, there comes a new mezcal ready to become your go-to this summer –
Sombra Reposé Mezcal, a first-of-its-kind Bordeaux-aged reposado. Mezcal meets Rosé in this new bottle, where the mezcal is hand-made in Oaxaca and then aged exclusively in Bordeaux wine barrels.
Reposé is a first-of-its-kind reposado made with Sombra’s Espadin mezcal. Sourced from the historic and renowned Château Léoville Poyferré, a second growth wine estate in St Julien, France, the barrels are filled and aged for up to six-months. The Limousin oak wine barrels soften the mezcal while enhancing its delicate botanical balance, bringing through a light Rosé color.

As 2020 comes to a close, no other gift is better equipped to help you forget the year that was than a bottle of distilled agave.
Had this year been like just about any year before it, right about now at least for those of us who live north of the Mason-Dixon line many of us would be looking forward to the holidays ahead and then, shortly thereafter, embarking on a customary mid-winter escape to locations both balmy and tropical. Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, maybe even Brazil would be calling.
