Fayetteville police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a suspect, after “a recent trend in assaults against females,” authorities said in a news release.
Police responded to two separate reports of an unknown male assaulting two separate women on Feb. 13 and Feb. 18 in the 3000 block of Stone Carriage Circle at the Stone Ridge Apartment complex in the Arran Lakes neighborhood.
The suspect was observed walking in the area before the assaults, police said.
The suspect is described as a man in his mid to late 20s, between 5 feet 6 inches tall and 5 feet 8 inches tall, who was last seen wearing a dark hoodie, pants and a surgical-style mask.
