heartbreaking stories which you shared with our broadcast here. what have they been telling you? reporter: i have been on the ground for two days speaking to the families and telling me about separation in detention when it comes to adult fathers and their children, that is nothing new. it also happened during the obama administration but it gives us a window into that trauma that you were referring to and right now, i m standing in front of a cvp processing center in mcallen, texas, where families are separated and processed after they cross the border. yesterday i spoke to santana cabrera, an immigrant from honduras and his 11-year-old child dani, separated for five days at a detention facility but in talking to them you can tell how these kids didn t really understand what was happening, even just for those five days. let s listen to a little bit of that interview.
