California homeowner fights off home invasion suspects, fatally stabs 1: cops

A California man was hospitalized following a home invasion robbery on Thursday after fighting off four attackers and fatally stabbing one of them, authorities said.  Jedediah Boncutter, 18, of Kelseyville, was identified as the suspect who was fatally stabbed during the incident. He was pronounced dead at a local area hospital, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department. Boncutter and several other suspects  who police said they suspected of being Norteno Gang participants are accused of driving to the Santa Rosa home with the intent to rob the victim.

SANTA ROSA, Calif. - Santa Rosa police are investigating the death of a 14-year-old passenger in a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old girl suspected of being under the influence and fleeing the scene of a collision Monday afternoon. Officers responding to the collision report about 1 p.m. in the area of Piner Road and Bay Village Circle searched for the suspect vehicle that left the scene and located it near the intersection of Coffey Lane and Piner Road.  Officers said the driver, a Santa Rosa resident, showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and/or narcotics, while a second juvenile appeared to be passed out in the back seat. 

Reward Offered in Search for Santa Rosa Bank Robber: Police

Police said they conducted an extensive search of the area, but the robber was not found. The robber was described as a man in his mid-20s to early 30s, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, wearing a dark-colored or black jacket, dark-colored pants, glasses and a blue surgical mask. Anyone who witnessed the robbery is encouraged to call the Santa Rosa Police Violent Crimes Team at (707) 543-3590. A reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund.
