For the 24th year, Price Chopper/Market 32 is lighting up Albany’s Washington Park for the holiday season, with all proceeds to benefit the juvenile crime prevention programs at the Albany Police Athletic League [PAL].
The holiday light festival is also adjusting to COVID-19 restrictions and protocols through the use of a contactless ticket system.

It’s a magical experience to see New York aglow each year when the holiday season rolls around. Though many attractions that have become holiday traditions were forced to adapt in response to the coronavirus pandemic, holiday lights have continued to shine bright at a time when New Yorkers need that extra cheer the most.

Each year the city of Albany gets in the holiday spirit when dazzling lights fill Washinton Park for its annual drive-thru display. The tradition has been put on by the Albany Police Athletic League for nearly a quarter-century.
