Veterinarians at the Oakland Zoo examined the mountain lion found and captured in San Francisco late Wednesday night and say he is young and healthy. This is a beautiful two-year-old male mountain lion. He looks very healthy and he has been radio collared by UC Santa Cruz, so we know a little bit about him. Looks like he came out of the Santa Cruz Mountains and got lost in San Francisco. He s young so he probably recently separated from his mother, said Dr. Alex Herman, Vice President of Veterinary Services at the Oakland Zoo.

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN/CBS SF) Animal control officers in San Francisco on Wednesday night were monitoring a mountain lion reported in a tree on Santa Marina Street near Mission Street, according to officials.
San Francisco Animal Care and Control tweeted about the sighting shortly after 10:30 p.m. regarding the animal on a street near Bernal Heights.

SF Animal Care & Control are monitoring a mountain lion in San Francisco.
SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco Animal Care & Control officers are monitoring a mountain lion in San Francisco Wednesday night. They say personnel from California Department of Fish and Wildlife are en route to dart and remove the animal from a residential area.
The feline was spotted in a tree a on Santa Marina Street near Mission Street. Animal control tweeted the update at around 10:30 p.m.
