Rotary Club of Santa Maria raises nearly $50K for local charities

The noontime Santa Maria Rotary Club held a virtual fundraiser in the first week of November that raised nearly $50,000 for five different charitable organizations. We formed four teams and the teams each selected a charity of their choice,â said Virginia Souza, president elect of the Rotary Club Santa Maria.
Echo Group Band of Brothers is one of the organizations who received a check for $10,297.
The funds will help with expanding La Casa De Flores housing for veterans and the van they use to reach veterans in need.
