County Coronavirus Cases Increase as Public Health Presents 16 Months of Pandemic Trends

The number of new cases has been steadily increasing each week since reopening on June 15, with 120 new cases reported in the week ending Tuesday, according to Santa Barbara County Public Health.
Public Health reported 36 new positive cases of the novel coronavirus on Saturday, 18 cases on Sunday, 20 cases on Monday, and 16 cases on Tuesday.
Additionally, the number of cases still considered to be infectious nearly doubled since Friday, and there were 97 active cases throughout the community on Tuesday.

CARPINTERIA, Calif.
Carpinteria High School s cafeteria has been transformed into a COVID19 vaccination clinic put on by Santa Barbara County Public Health.
The clinic, offering free Pfizer vaccines, is being held this Tuesday and Wednesday from 3-7 p.m.
A similar clinic will be held at Santa Ynez High School next Monday and Tuesday from 3-7 pm.
POD or clinic manager Nancy Lapolla said, It s great to have at high school. It makes it easy for students to get their permission slips. They don t have to bring parents as long as they have their forms filled out.
