The Central softball team returns home today to begin the final conference series of the season, hosting Buena Vista. Central enters 13-8 in the league standings, and holds a two-game edge for third place, which is the highest the Dutch can finish. With just one win in the three-game series, Central will clinch the #3 seed in next week’s conference tournament.
On the other side, the Beavers are in eighth place, three games behind seventh and five games ahead of ninth.
The series will conclude Sunday with a single game. Sandwiched between is a Central road trip Friday to Sant Paul, MN for a doubleheader at Bethel.
I RECENTLY came across a statement concerning the reason why churches should be kept open. It read: “This is not a risky act of self- indulgence by needy people, but a vital work of intercession, among other things, done with care, on behalf of a nation and a world under extra-ordinary pressure. In the past, this would have needed no explanation.” I think that this is a beautiful summary of what the Church is about. One of the greatest missionaries of the Church was St Paul. His conversion was celebrated on Monday, January 25. He changed from someone who went about looking for Christians that he could imprison, to the greatest missionary.
