The Department of Higher and Technical Education in Maharashtra has approved the establishment of 146 new colleges, including 20 under the University of Mumbai. The colleges will commence classes in June and will offer traditional degree courses in Arts, Commerce and Science, as well as self-financed courses such as BSc Hotel Management, BBA, and Home Science.
