The Johnson County Department of Health and Environment will offer Pfizer and Moderna bivalent booster shots, along with other age appropriate immunizations, to those eligible starting Monday, Sept. 19 at its Olathe and Mission walk-in clinics during regular business hours.
The Johnson County Department of Health and Environment and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment are announcing a single presumptive positive monkeypox case in an adult male Johnson County, Kansas resident. JCDHE is awaiting confirmatory test results from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This is the first presumptive positive case in Kansas.
The first "presumptive" positive case of monkeypox has been identified by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment (JCDHE).
Even with a slight bump in COVID-19 cases, the director of the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment says "things are looking really good."
