STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. A former Staten Island man accused of possessing more than 1,000 rounds of rifle ammunition, while also making violent online threats toward politicians, was remanded without bail Wednesday by a Brooklyn Federal Court judge.
Eduard Florea, 40, was arrested Tuesday when federal authorities raided his home in Queens where he lives with his wife and two young children, according to a criminal complaint and arguments presented by both sides at the arraignment.
A 2014 conviction on Staten Island for a small arsenal found in Florea’s possession had forbid him legally from future possession of firearms and/or ammunition.
