Prayagraj Development Authority ordered the demolition of a private hospital, which was recently accused of laxity and sealed following the death of a dengue patient
A probe into the dengue patient who died after he was allegedly given mosambi juice in place of plasma revealed that the the blood pack did not contain juice but poorly preserved platelets.
The authorities here have ordered the demolition of a private hospital where a dengue patient died after being transfused with what the family claimed was sweet lime juice and not blood platelets.
The hospital, however, has denied allegations of wrongdoing, saying that the victim's family had procured the spurious platelets – which turned out to be mousambi juice – themselves from elsewhere.
