People often talk about how brave police officers and firemen are, so it's easy to forget about the hardworking civilian workers who keep a city running smoothly.
Deputy civic chief Sachin Pawar at the event emphasized that the teachers are change makers and that children absorb what they see and thus they need their assistance in inculcating values of reuse, recycle and reduce among them.

As the piles of snow have melted around Bayonne, we have seen litter and grime that were trapped underneath. Those snow mounds were hiding cans, bottles, paper, cardboard, wood, animal waste, and even mattresses. Now would be a great time to clean up the items that were hiding beneath the snow. Please add any recyclable items you find to your next round of recycling. Place non-recyclable items into garbage bags for the next pick-up.
Let’s all remove litter from our properties regularly. Although we will be having a citywide clean-up next month for Earth Day, I would encourage you to get a jumpstart on removing litter now. That being said, the winter is not done until March 20. Winter-style weather can linger into April. That’s why it pays to pick up that litter now.
