NYC mayoral candidate Eric Adams heads to Washington for gun crimes meeting with Biden Shant Shahrigian
Eric Adams, fresh off his win of the city’s mayoral primary, is heading to the White House Monday for a meeting with President Biden on gun violence its stunning rise over the past year a key priority during Adams’ campaign, and a presidential priority.
First reported by journalist Hunter Walker, the meeting was confirmed Sunday to the Daily News by a source close to Adams.
Biden’s meeting was described on his official schedule as involving “the Attorney General and local leaders, including law enforcement, elected officials, and a community violence intervention expert, to discuss his Administration’s comprehensive strategy to reduce gun crimes,” Walker reported.
