He added that the other person is in a critical condition in the custody of the troops.
He further stated that the military had continued in their offensive on identified bandits’ hideouts in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area.
According to him, operational feedback to the state government indicates that armed reconnaissance was carried out over Sani Maichuku, Alhaji Chorki, Sangeku, Zabiya, Dutsen Magaji, Kotonkoro and adjoining settlements.
He also stated that in Sani Maichuku, several bandits’ settlements were sighted; and they were confronted as some of them attempted to escape on three motorcycles.
The commissioner said Governor Nasir el-Rufai had commended the military for another successful round of operation in the Birnin Gwari area and praised their sustained efforts.

Gunmen on Saturday invaded Kamaru Chawai Village in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State and killed three persons, while one person sustained an injury.
Kamaru Chawai is located in Southern Kaduna and shares a border with Plateau State.
It was learnt that the gunmen, four in number, stormed their victims’ compound and opened fire on them, killing them on the spot.
The state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, who confirmed the attack, gave the names of those killed as Sunday Joshua, Samson Andy, and Mrs Tani Jacob. One John Joshua sustained an injury.

The Kaduna State government has confirmed the killing of some bandits in Chikun local government area during offensives on identified criminal hideouts.
In a statement on Saturday, Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan said the killing and apprehension of the bandits was the result of offensives conducted by armed missions over locations in Birnin Gwari local government area.
“According to operational feedback to the Kaduna State Government, armed reconnaissance was carried out over Sani Maichuku, Alhaji Chorki, Sangeku, Zabiya, Dutsen Magaji, Kotonkoro and adjoining settlements.
