SHELDON—An apple a day is supposed to keep the doctor away but if you do have to make a trip to the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center, there are two new faces to help you deal with whatever is ailing you at the time. Katie Haverly joined Sanford Sheldon as a physician assistant in March and Rachel Van Briesen recently finished her orientation, so the nurse practitioner is on her own with patients at Sanford Sheldon and the Sanford Health Boyden Clinic. Haverly, a Sioux Falls, SD, native, decided she wanted to enter the medical field after her grandfather went through some serious medical issues. She was 15 at the time.
