Barbara came to Jackson in 1962 with her husband at the time,
Phil Zimmers. He was a young deacon at St. Johnâs Episcopal Church and the Chapel of the Transfiguration. They separated, and in 1979 she married
Bob Gray. They lived in Jackson until 2004, until he couldnât ski anymore and winters were getting to be more work than fun.
Longtimers will remember that Barbara wrote a column in the Jackson Hole News in the early 1970s called âTrash is my Bag.â The column focused on environmental issues. As I read some of her past columns I found that we have the same problems that we were faced with 50 years ago.
