despite the tremendous force of the explosions, no one is hurt, which purdon attributes to his team s extensive safety protocols. while the show may have earned its nickname, the big bay bust, many who were there to see it believe the spectacle is a once in a lifetime sight. this is the best fireworks show ever. it was a lot of fun to watch. it s still like nothing you ve seen. so the spirit of it, at the time you re watching, is like every fireworks show should be like this, yeah. there were people that were disappointed, of course, because the kids were there and they wanted a 20-minute show and wanted all the foo-foo fireworks that we set off. so for those people, obviously, i was very sorry about disappointing them. but this year we ll make up for it. sometimes when fireworks shows go awry, the result can be terrifying.
