Bryan PD on scene of traffic stop, close intersection for safety

Credit: BRAZOS COUNTY JAIL Published: 8:14 PM CST January 26, 2021 Updated: 11:44 AM CST January 27, 2021 BRYAN, Texas UPDATE: Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. BPD has released the name of the man who was arrested early Wednesday morning after a traffic stop that started Tuesday night around 7 p.m. Clifford Moten, 39, of Bryan, was arrested for two outstanding warrants. Both warrants are from offenses dating January 12, 2021 and include charges of burglary and violation of a protective order. Moten is currently in the Brazos County Jail on $150,000 bond. Police said a section of N. Harvey Mitchell Parkway was closed for several hours as they tried to get Moten to leave his car and surrender. It is not yet known how many agencies assisted in the arrest. We will update you with information as it becomes available.

Corlette Robbery Under Investigation December 30, 2020 Police are appealing for information about an alleged robbery at Corlette earlier this month. A man reportedly entered a shop on Sandy Point Road around 10am on the 10th of December where it’s believed he demanded cash from a female employee before fleeing towards Bagnalls Beach. Detectives are now hoping to speak to a man about the incident. He’s described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late 30s, with a thin build and dark blonde hair cut into a mohawk. The man was seen wearing a black jumper, black shoes, a black hat and sunglasses.
