On immigration reform. Im bruce johnson. Thank you for joining us. Severe storms caused flooding on local roadways capitols. Dark clouds formed quickly. Frequent lightning lit up the capitol dome. On the ground the storms knocked down trees and power lines and forced authorities to close some roads. Especially in the bethesda and potomac areas, where crews responded to a couple water rescues. Hank silverberg is at the intersection of bradley boulevard. Reporter the water trapped two people in one car. They had to be rescued. Necessity had to be pulled out by the Fire Department swift rescue boats. The water came close to overflowing a bridge and knocking down some power li nes. They had to move in and shorr up the lines and that means power outages. The potomac area appears to have been hit the hardest. Trees were knocked down, blocking roadways.
