Marlborough House on St James s Road will be transformed into four self-contained flats by Sandwell Community Caring Trust. The former Citizens Advice Bureau is currently empty. Notes by planners state that the property will be home to a maximum of six adults with mild learning difficulties or elderly residents. They will live independently under normal rental conditions with the additional service provision from a non-residential, sessional support team. The trust operates a range of supported services across Sandwell, Dudley and the West Midlands. The application was given prior approval by planners at Dudley Council, which means that the development is acceptable and a full planning application does not need to be submitted.
