The DEVAC Infrastructure Conference and Expo, taking place on the May 17 -18, 2023 at the Sandton-based Hilton Hotel, in Johannesburg, Gauteng, will provide a platform for industry experts from the African infrastructure value chain to engage on project updates, investment opportunities, partnerships, the latest technology, innovation and solutions, as well as the adequate, smart, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure required for Africa. The conference and expo aims to spark conversation in the following sectors: energy, road and rail transportation, construction and building, water infrastructure, ports and bridges, smart cities, financing, and investment, as well as ICT and telecommunications. According to the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), investors are ready and eager to accelerate infrastructure development with the necessary funding; however, roughly 80% of projects fail during the feasibility and business planning phase.
